One of the desk greeter was awesome. The other one said they don’t have any different kind of blanket. Daughter couldn’t sleep under the bed spread she needed a blanket. Also question why I needed an extra garbage bag and was hesitant to give me one.

2nd time staying here and our go to when visiting the williamsburg area. close to busch gardens. check in quick and painless and front desk staff very friendly. only negative is beds are on the firmer side but are not uncomfortable.

Older hotel but rooms were clean. Nice that the room refrigerator had a freezer. Front desk was very helpful. Virginia Beer company easy walk from hotel. Location to Busch Gardens was perfect. Only minor issue was the ice machine was inside the breakfast area and unavailable till it opened.

So this was purely a stay of convenience and I knew I was going to get what I paid for. It was located just minutes walk from Colonial Williamsburg so I used it as a place to sleep and save myself money to spend on other experiences. My partner checked in and I wasn’t there but he wasn’t impressed by the service mindedness of the front desk staff. They did their job and that was about it. Parking is very limited so a room is not allowed more than one vehicle just be aware. Since my partner and I came in from different parts of the country and met here I ended up parking my car at a Walmart and just driving his. The room itself worked for its purpose - sleeping. The carpet felt soggy but it was humid summer in Virginia. The beds worked for sleeping though some of the linens had seen better days. The main surfaces of the room had been dusted but don’t look at things like baseboards. The shower didn’t drain well so we were ankle deep in standing water by the end of a shower so had to stagger our shower to let the shower drain. The shower could have benefited from some bleach since there was not a small amount of mildew on the grout. Overall the stay worked for me because it was affordable but I probably wouldn’t recommend it for more than those needing to sleep.

So I think everyone knows you get what you pay for and I couldn’t have spent a week in the Williamsburg area without staying here. It is only a 10-15 minute walk from Colonial Williamsburg so very conveniently placed. The hotel is on the edge of a decent neighborhood and an old business district so not bad but I questioned the location the first night until daylight revealed more. I will say the pool looked pretty good from the parking lot but I never used it. The room was bare bones but one could see when it was build it had been nice. I am sure some was summer humidity but the carpet always felt soggy and wasn’t the cleanest I have ever seen. The beds worked for sleeping but some of the linens though clean had cigarette burns. The lighting in the room wasn’t great and it wasn’t helped by one fixture being totally out. I will say the AC unit was quite robust. I am sure the bathroom was cleaned between guests but I don’t think the shower had been scrubbed since I could clean the mildew off the grout between the tiles with my finger nail. The shower water never got beyond warm but at least it wasn’t cold. The front desk staff did what was needed but would not be accused of being friendly or particularly helpful. And let’s just say the continental breakfast was for those on a severe budget or desperate. Overall the stay fit my purpose of a safe place to sleep but no frills and I wouldn’t say a place to hang out.

Be aware that the pictures shown online of rooms are not representative of all rooms. Our room had dated decor and stains on the drop ceiling panels and on the walls. The carpet was stained also and had unexplainable lumps in areas. However, sheets were clean and unstained and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was functioning however the shower had mold in the grout and stains on the bathroom floor. The windowsill didn’t look like it had been wiped down recently as it had dust and dead ants on it. The window also had mold on it. It needs to have an exhaust fan installed. Also, the hairdryer was not operable. The pool was nice to use and we enjoyed having that. The breakfast offered was very minimal. Bread available to toast, a few choices of cereal, mini muffins, coffee, milk, and orange juice. We ended up eating breakfast out both mornings. It was a fine place to stay for two nights but I wouldn’t choose this place to stay again.

The website is catfishing. It is located on a corner of an intersection. It is completely run down. There is mold, mildew and bugs. We immediately left and found another place of stay.

Everything was fine beside breakfast, they should do little better for breakfast, breakfast time was 8a to 10a, we got into breakfast area around 8:30a and only thing was left was milk and cereal.

The room was clean and comfortable. However the accommodations outside the hotel room were subpar. The breakfast was not fullfilling. They only had toast, cereal and coffee. We had to go to the pancake house next door to get a substancial meal. The hotel did however provide a 10% discount. The pool was close to the main road, everyone can see you if you’re in it. Lastly, the staff member at the desk at night was rude after information dumping. I would suggest that they need a paper or folder with all of their instructions because nobody is going to remember everything they said after a long day of traveling.
