"Vivanta Kochi is a newly built hotel, just outside the city limits of Aluva. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I was visiting my parents who currently live in Aluva. As this hotel is only six months old, everything is new and shiny. I loved my room as it was very large and luxurious for what I paid ($46 per night). The room has all the amenities like tea, coffee, soap, shampoo etc. It was would have been nice if the mini fridge was functional. I was woken up occasionally by the noise from the highway. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the street. I will stay here again if I can get a room under $80. Uber is easily available at all hours. I had my breakfast and dinner here every night. The menu is an assortment of Indian, continental and Asian cuisine. The North Indian and South Indian items were very good, but the rest were merely passable. The restaurant needs to expand its menu to include more salads and more Indian dishes. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming. Samishta, Pooja and Alok were particularly helpful in the restaurant."

"Very good, but… the hall ways and rooms had musty smells. The room was quite small. It’s European, so no air conditioning in hall ways, which is annoying. The beds were way too soft for my liking. For this same price you can get more luxurious options. But it wasn’t bad for 1 night passing through. And the staff were very nice. Breakfast not bad."

"This is a great hotel to stay in for a couple nights. I'm not the hugest fan of the location but the hotel is decent. Small critiques would be they need to add a little paint to the bathrooms and figure a way to eliminate the old smell in the hallways. The staff is superb! The food is great. Drinks are costly but it's expected at a 5 star hotel."
