"I never enjoy giving a negative review but I do feel I should mention some disappointing aspects of our stay. We have stayed at this hotel on at least 5 previous occasions but for this stay our experience was very different. We looked forward to being able to eat at the restaurant for dinner but was told the restaurant and bar was closed for a month, we didn’t receive notification of this prior to check-in. We were told to go to the pub next door which we did on the first night of our 3 night stay, while we were not disappointed in the food at the pub the noise was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation without raising our voice. We did not see housekeeping during our stay. I tried to retrieve something that had fallen under the bedside table and the wooden table fell apart narrowly missing my face but hitting my arm. The WiFi hardly worked in the room, anytime we tried either it didn’t work at all or buffeted so badly we stopped trying. On a brighter note the breakfast was good with a decent selection except for coffee from the coffee machine."

"This is a motel, not a hotel. The photos on the property's listing don't accurately represent the actual property. It is generally clean but I found a couple of long hairs in my bed, and the grout on the shower floor is dirty or discolored, and the shelf in the bathroom was loose, causing items to slide off. The air conditioning unit smells when first switched on. I won't stay here again."

"Under new management building and rooms where freshly painted clean I feel that given time this motel will be able to safely compete with others of greater value "

"Room well appointed. Bed is comfortable and quiet location. The motel has been partially renovated, some aspects showing age. Overall very good and will stay again."

"Clean, comfortable and in a good location, but the best feature is the staff. Friendly and very helpful. Plus the office is staffed from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm which is rare these days. Much appreciated."

"While it is a bit worn out the bed was very comfortable, the aircon worked well (it was humid for Canberra) Staff were thoughtful and kind and the shower was great."

"Shower curtain and wall in one of the common bathrooms had a couple of bad stains. Otherwise the bathrooms were pretty good. I would have preferred more bathrooms closer to our rooms as it is quite a long corridor. The bed was too soft. Would have also liked to have had a bit of fresh air with the ability to open a window a bit. Dirty mark on the doona I noticed this morning. Staff were helpful. The little gift pack was nice. Towels were clean. Bed side lights were good. Basin was useful. Won’t return as I really Prefer a private bathroom and windows. "
