"The room was sufficient for our stay, the let down for us was no drawers to put our underwear in, the radiator in the bathroom was controlled by maintenance staff which wasn't ideal as we had to ask reception each time we wanted it on and also ask when we wanted it turning it off.
We had booked a couple of treatments as we were celebrating our anniversary to be told that we had to pay an extra £20 per person for a two hour use of the spa which was not stipulated in the description, we only booked this hotel due to there being a photo of a beautiful pool in the main picture, we had paid a substantial amount to stay at the hotel and treatments, so didn't expect to have to pay more just to use the pool for half an hour before our treatments. After a couple of discussions the spa staff agreed to let have a complimentary hour use of the pool, which was exceptional, the treatments were splendid too.
The afternoon tea was a bit of a let down, the actual sandwiches were fair, the cakes were nice, but the scones left a lot to be desired they had been frozen and defrosted so were rock hard once they were brought to our table, very disappointed. The breakfast was a different thing altogether, there was so much to choose from, it was all well laid out, freshly cooked, good value for money."
