"We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable."

"When we arrived, with luggage in tow, there was a sign to say push the “Ring” button at the back door to alert reception we were wanting to book in. No answer so I had to go in through the bar. The barman told the chap from reception that we had arrived. Upon checking in I asked if I could have 2 entry key cards, twice! Only received one. He seemed reluctant. "Ample parking space, some at the back of the property as well as the front. Booking in was straight forward enough but they wanted a payment card handed over so that they could make all the entries instead of putting a card through a card reader. "Our first time in Chester and a 4 night stay in the Boathouse turned out to be a great choice. The location of the Boathouse is truly wonderful, with great accommodation, restaurant and bar and special thanks to Amelia who was so helpful in providing us her local knowledge. Highly recommended."

"Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews.
Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive.
Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly."
