"When I went to check-in at the front desk, the reception person asked me to choose from the floors that were available, which was great. I had never been asked to choose before. Then he also gave me Hilton Honors points for my stay even though I got it through Expedia, which was another plus! The person who helped us check out was also wonderful because she gave us late checkout without thinking and she was just very accommodating.
The location was great because it was right off the LIE and it was two minutes away from all the shopping: food, Starbucks, supermarket, bank and etc.
I also love that they are so dog-friendly! Most hotels charge per night but this hotel charges $75 per STAY up to 4 days and that's up to TWO pets. This is the biggest reason why I chose this hotel - plus the big heated indoor pool. I only wish they had a hot tub bcs when I got out of the pool, it was freezing.
But if I must be objective, the buffet wasn't that great because there weren't too many menus to choose from. The only hot food that was served was eggs, sausages and oatmeal and self-serve waffles which you have to make yourself. But the coffee was great!
And there is a $15/day for parking, which I was told I had to pay when I check-out but I wasn't charged at all. And you also have to share the elevator with the cleaning ladies and the elevator was the only one that needed renovating. But otherwise, I give FIVE stars for this hotel! We would definitely go back!"
