The room was available for an early check in as requested. We were here for a funeral and they were kind enough to leave us a sympathy card. Very nice room, comfortable bed, spacious, with a Jacuzzi and a fireplace available. A beautiful view of the river right outside our door. I highly recommend staying here.

Compared to a chain hotel, this was a great deal. The room was spotless, had fantastic view and fireplace, and was completely updated and clean. Would have loved the shared balcony if the weather had been nicer. No carpet in the room benefits those with allergies. However, this was NOT a BnB experience as I was expecting. There were muffins/cookies/snacks and a Keurig on a small table in the lobby. Any character the place had has been stripped away and only the decorations in the hallway remind you of its former use. The desk staff were efficient but not especially friendly. Had no problems checking in late.

Liked the quiet, clean room, comfortable bed and nice river view. There was a great restaurant across the street for dinner. Breakfast at the hotel should be called continental at best. Only sugared cereals offered. The muffins weren’t appealing. The bananas offered were old. On the positive side, there was orange juice, plenty of coffee and tea options and fresh looking apples. There was no where to sit in the lobby to eat. I guess It was expected that you bring it to your room.

When looking for hotels in this area, staying within a “popular” area could get very costly. Stagecoach House Inn is close to a lot of popular spots albeit a short drive to them, but much more wallet friendly. It is not a 5star hotel, nor claims to be. But it is quaint, clean, friendly, and a perfect spot for access to Mystic, Providence, Newport,…. Our next trip to this area, we will stay here again.

Great Stay

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was pretty much everything we could have hoped for. The room was clean and inviting. The bed was big and comfy and the hot tub was perfect. We also found plenty of hiking and biking within easy driving distance of the hotel.

The room was surprisingly modern for a very old historic hotel, and all the expected amenities (except a full breakfast) were included. The big jacuzzi tub was a bonus that I used both nights.The parking lot is gravel, but the hotel deserves proper hard paving. The guests above my room were a little noisy both nights, but thankfully quieted down by the 10:00 p.m. quiet time. Tim the host showed me all the features of room, something I had never experienced at any hotel. I highly recommend the Stagecoach House Inn, and Town Pizza for the excellent cod meal.

Super nice staff, and the place, albeit slightly dated, was very comfortable and had an old timey charm and fascinating history (look up Stagecoach Inns, RI) making it a wonderful spot to rest your bones. The jacuzzi tub in the "Honeymoon Suite" did not disappoint either. Thanks!!! PS: Grab a bite across the street at the Wood River Bar and Grill for decent affordable grub.

It was a lovely 250 year old stagecoach inn. Our room was on the front next to a road intersection and I am a light sleeper. That being said next time we need to stay in the area i will make sure to have a room on the back over looking the river. Since I am a very light sleeper. The Inn is very easy to get to and easy acess to most of RI since it is centrally located. Making it a perfect place to stay and see the sights.
