"I am honestly shocked by how disgusting this experience was. The moment I walked into the room, there was a smell and the window was open, which should have been my first clue that something was wrong. There were two queen beds, and when I walked over to the one closest to the door, something immediately felt off. I pulled back the comforter and sheets and it was obvious the bed had not been changed. There were black specks and hair in the sheets. Absolutely revolting. No guest should ever have to inspect a bed to make sure it was actually cleaned.
To make matters worse, before I even discovered that, I had already asked the front desk where to get ice and was told the ice maker in my room did not work. I was instructed to bring the tray down and they would fill it for me. Not a major issue on its own, but just one more sign that the room was not properly maintained.
The most unbelievable part was the manager’s reaction the next day. She acted as though this was a minor inconvenience instead of a serious sanitation failure. She simply said she would not charge me, with very little urgency, concern, or real apology. The whole response was bizarre and far too casual for something this unacceptable.
Dirty, unchanged sheets are not a small mistake. They are basic housekeeping. The condition of the room was bad enough, but the indifferent response from management made it even worse. I have no confidence this property takes cleanliness or guest con"
