The motel is quite old, so the external facilities and rooms are worn out and outdated which is about right for how much we paid to stay. The room is large and does the job if you're not fussed about modern decor and amenities. Travellers finding longer stays with children may find the noise by the motorway disruptive at night especially with the sirens. Accessing the motel from the roundabout was a bit tricky given it...

"I stayed in a cottage in Shambala Estate on a relaxed drive up to Cairns from Melbourne with my two dogs. It was simply beautiful. When I opened the door it smelt great, there was soft music playing and it looked gorgeous. My stay was relaxed and comfortable in a beautiful and clean room. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend."
