"We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. "

"This was our first time to this area of Nuevo Nayarit and I picked this hotel for our first 2 nights before we went elsewhere. It ended up being so amazing we went back for the last 3 nights of our trip. The staff are really friendly, it's relaxing and the pools are amazing. It's been a few weeks now since my stay at The Tryst but I'm still left with the lasting impression of just how lovely this hotel and it's staff are. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left 15 nights after, it was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable and relaxed. The rooms and communal areas are all fantastic and it's just a few mins from the beach and the action. I can't wait to return.

The owners made certain we were comfortable and most helpful regarding the nearby market for shopping, which proved invaluable for getting local ingredients for cooking meals. Nice, fully furnished kitchen as well! This is not resort life by no means as you hear local children playing in the streets and the sounds of barking dogs, etc. The walk to the beach is maybe 8-10 minutes but often across rough pavements so not advised for anyone with walking or mobility issues.
