"The room was nice but should've been stocked with sheets etc for the pullout couch. The lighting was new but way too bright and the dimmers only made the bulbs blink like strobe lights. No phone to call the desk was unusual. The biggest disappointment was that the outside advertisements announce that the restaurants are open all year, however they weren't on the days we were there. We were counting on the main one being open. The staff was wonderful as was the location."

"Great location for shopping and restaurants. Nautical theme of the hotel is very fitting for the location. We were given a corner room and the views were beautiful. Would definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Portsmouth."

"My room was very clean. The king size bed was super comfortable. The floors are not covered in carpet so it was very easy to hear the people above me moving around their room, but that would be my only negative comment. The breakfast area was well stocked each morning & the staff taking care of it was very sweet & kind. I'll keep this place in mind for my next trip back to this area."

"I’m giving it a poor review because of the beds and how thin the walls were. We were going to stay for two nights but we left after the first night because the beds were so hard and uncomfortable to sleep on that we couldn’t get comfortable, on top of that we could hear everything our neighbors were doing. We couldn’t take another night off no sleep so we checked out the next morning eating the non refundable night lost."

"We stayed in late April when the main building was not yet open. The room was was very clean, heating and hot water worked perfectly. The onsite market is convenient for morning coffee and lounging. The staff have recommended some restaurants and a seafood market that turned out very good."
