The spa is quite far out but has accessable buses from Sendai Station. The onzen was wonderful and clean. Staff was very friendly and spoke english. Only word of caution is unless you eat at the hotel, dinner options are limited and youd have to walk into town. Still a wondeful experience and would definitely stay again if we are in the Miyagi area.
Surprisingly huge 12 (or so) hotel right in the middle of nowehere. Looks like it could easily belong in central Tokyo, Very modern, comfortable stay. Because it is so isolated, make sure you book the half board with dinner and breakfast because there are very few options outside.
The main negative is the hotel is haven for massive tour groups. On the night we were staying, SEVEN tour buses came in. As a result, the common areas will feel crowded. The dining room is massive in order to accomodate all these people so the food quality feels a bit "mass market" and it takes a bit of time to get your food.
We had been here for the summer break. The place was quite neat and tidy. Staff was also very courteous and kind.
Kids had good fun in the onsen, pool, etc. Other activites such as magic show, etc. added to the fun part, as we were able to spend time indoors, during rainy days.
Breakfast options were quite good. We did not opt for the dinner, as the pricing per person was relatively expensive.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay at the resort, and would love to visit there again.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Property was very old and very dusty and smelly in the guest room floor pathway, between elevator doors and elevator lobby. Rooms were spacious but bathroom was vary cramped and the worst was the wifi which was extremely bad as I couldn’t connect and work even for few mins consistently and ended up using my mobile hotspot.
Breakfast was amazing on the contrary and had an amazing spread.
Staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
We did not use the onsen and we were only here for one night. Things to note… it’s very hard to travel around this area! No Ubers lol. We were able to get people to call us taxis so make sure to have cash! We loved our traditional room, I just wish for foreigners they had instructions. Other than that, we had a great stay :) very peaceful and beautiful area. The view of the mountain was awesome!
Staff was friendly and pleasant, quick to help out even with the language barrier. However the photos do not match the actual rooms, our room had stained futons, dirty walls, under the sink it lookes like mildew or mold waa growing. Water also leaked from under the sink when you flushed the toilet or took a shower. If your not used to traditional Japanese style room with futons be prepared for the futons to be very uncomfortable. It is somewhat tattoo friendly but you must cover them, they sell index cards sized patches for 200yen each. The buffet is not worth going, food cold and bland, evening night cap was ok plenty of liquor to choose from but would be nice to have actual snacks not just crackers. It was fairly cheap to stay and now I understand why.
The carpet is disgusting. The mattresses were so uncomfortable; if not for the nasty carpet, i would have rather slept on the floor. The food is over priced.
The environment is very quiet and comfortable. The playground is very big. The facilities are neat and clean, although they are a bit old. The room is spacious and clean. The hot spa is very comfortable. You can enjoy the drink and the snack in the bar after the hot spa. It was a wonderful night.
Very Clean! Loved it there, i was Hiking most of my time and when i came back the Onsen was one of my favorites! I liked that they have a Game hall and the Lounge was wonderful as well! I would and want to come again!
Clean, large parking area, nice onsen.
However, not sure if it can be called a 3.5 star hotel. More likely between 2.5 - 3 star, as the rooms were at least 40 years outdated.
Wonderful trip with friends. Check-in and check-out were very fast and easy. Staff was wonderful. Rooms are a bit dated and can use an update. Not being able to control the air conditioning was my only issue.
The rooms smelled bad. The refrigerator didn’t work. The AC did not work. Could not see view out window due to condensation and front desk staff implied I might not be able to afford their dinner buffet just by looking at me. Dinner was overpriced for a buffet at $60 per person. Signs for vending machine where there was none. Futons dirty. Wallpaper peeling. Would not recommend.
