Amazing hotel! The view alone would be worth choosing this location, but the level of care from the owners and staff really makes the place special. It’s a short ride from the national park gates and very cheap in a taxi so well worth it over staying in town which is busy and noisy so not relaxing after a busy day in Zhangjiajie park.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Serenity Hotel. The atmosphere was peaceful and comfortable, making it a perfect place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Everything felt welcoming and well taken care of. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again! Mountain view from bed every morning was a big plus ! Taxi was never a problem. Only few minutes to wait every time.

Serenity Valley is a must stay hotel for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie & the Avatar Mountains. Not only was the property spotless, modern, and very luxe, but what truly made our stay incredible was the owners, staff, and service. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and they treated us like family. Jenny, the owner, is an absolute gem. She went above and beyond to help us navigate ticket booking websites, plan our itinerary, and plan logistics. Even without the amazing service, this stay would have been incredible. Yet the caretakers and service provided make me wish I could rate this stay 100/10!!! Stop the search, book Serenity Valley and thank me later! (Property cat Mimi is adorable)

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even picking us up from the station upon our arrival, which made our trip much more convenient and welcoming. Throughout our stay, the host provided exceptional service and was always quick to assist whenever we had any requests. Their hospitality truly exceeded our expectations and made us feel well cared for. The view from the property was absolutely magnificent and one of the highlights of our stay. Waking up to such beautiful scenery was an unforgettable experience. Overall, this place is definitely worth staying at, and we would gladly return in the future.

Everyone at the hotel were super friendly and helpful. As a foreigner, it's very inconvenient to book tickets for the National forest without a Chinese phone number. The hotel owner took care of everything and also helped us build an itinerary. This was crucial as the ones you find online are very confusing. And because she actually hikes in the park frequently, she can customize it to your needs and the weather. The views you get from the hotel is also exceptional.

our host here has to be the best we’ve encountered! she was extremely helpful with sightseeing directions , accommodating with the room and food, instantly responsive to requests. we somehow had quite a bunch of requests too. I felt really bad but she was so great. This trip would have been a lot harder to navigate if it wasn’t for her help. She even went beyond what is normally expected, helping us with the next leg of our trip in China. highly, highly recommend the place, very clean, beautiful view, and just all around awesomeness. Google translate for the Chinese tourists: 我们在这里遇到的房东绝对是我们遇到过的最好的！她非常热心地为我们提供观光路线建议，房间和餐饮安排得也很周到，对我们的各种要求都能迅速回应。我们当时提了不少要求，我都觉得有点不好意思了，但她真的太好了。如果没有她的帮助，这次旅行肯定会困难得多。她甚至超越了我们对房东的预期，还帮我们安排了在中国下一段旅程的行程。我强烈推荐这家住宿，非常干净，景色优美，一切都非常棒！

Tucked away in a quiet location with breathtaking mountain views, it offers the perfect escape from the noise and stress of city life. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the serene atmosphere, friendly service, and the attention to detail throughout the property. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed to blend in with the natural surroundings. Our room had a large balcony that looked directly out onto the mountains — waking up to that view every morning was nothing short of magical. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we appreciated the little touches like a kettle with tea and coffee, local artwork on the walls, and warm lighting. One of the best features of the hotel is its silence. Even when fully booked, it remains calm and quiet, making it ideal for relaxation, meditation, or just enjoying a good book. The on-site restaurant serves fresh and flavorful meals, often using local ingredients, and the staff are attentive without being intrusive.
