"A great stay at this very modern apartment complex 👍 Booked a 6 night break over the Xmas period at good price via Expedia. Flamingos salgados is in a quiet area in between the Albufeira Marina and Amerco de pera (Galé /Gui area) so a car is ideally required unless you want to use Uber or Taxis to get around. The beach isn't far from the complex but due to the road designs and lack of pathways it's around a 2.5k walk or drive to reach. This complex was only built in 2024/25 and to a high standard. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with fully fitted kitchen, microwave, kettle, toaster, 4 ring induction hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine x2 (Espresso and filter drip) plus a good selection of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. There is a large balcony accessed from living area and bedroom that gets the sun all day from around 11am to sunset. Reception spoke good English and where very welcoming plus they accommodated our early check in request. They also gave us a small sweet pastry present on Xmas day so this was appreciated. A couple of things to note. Underground parking is available at a charge (€5 I think), but free parking is available outside on street. You will need to bring your own washing up liquid , kitchen towels, Tea cloths, coffee pods to avoid the frustration others have noted on some reviews. "I felt I should write a review after reading lots of bad reviews about this hotel, as I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very basic and doesn't have air conditioning but I knew this before booking. My room didn't get a lot of sun and the temperature was fine. It is clean and there were cleaners working all the time. There are a lot of steps in it but I didn't have a problem with that, there is an elevator. All the photos the hotel provides are exactly how it is. There is a lovely view from the pool and breakfast area. Breakfast was basic, as expected but enjoyable due to the lovely views. It is in an elevated position above the old town, so I would usually walk to the town, which isn't far and get an uber back, which was €4. The lady at reception was very pleasant. Overall, I knew what I had booked before I arrived and I didn't expect five star facilities at a two star hotel. Also I was travelling on my own and felt safe. "
