The town of Kemijärvi, in the centre of a region of the same name, is surrounded on all sides by the vast lakes of Lapland. Encounter the region’s fascinating culture in museums and galleries in the town centre, then head out into the surrounding region for year-round outdoor activities.
Enjoy some historical sightseeing in Kemijärvi. Follow the Ammanvaara Nature Trail through an ancient and sacred Sami settlement.
