"We stayed at this gem of a pub on the way to Scotland. The staff are all super friendly and helpful too. The pub has excellent quality food and wines too. My husband had the steak pie, I had the fish and Chips both were outstanding. We liked it so much we booked for the following week on our way back. They are really dog friendly too! "Welcoming staff and lovely building. Dinner was great but the breakfast was poor and I couldn't eat it. Never seen poached so hard, mattress on the bed was pretty 'used' with a big dip in it so not the most comfortable for the money. They also charged my card for 50% of my booking 2 days before our stay without permission and the balance on the arrival day rather than 'pay at property' which was how the booking was made. I then had to chase up the invoices. "

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff and food were incredible. It was good exercise to wear some of the food off getting up to the attic room since the hotel has no lift. We would recommend this hotel to our friends."
