"This is a great hotel option right in the heart of Oxford. The street around it is a bit busy and slightly grimy, but once you step into the downstairs entrance to the hotel you feel safe, comfortable, and everything was fresh and tidy. Our room was on the backside so we had no street noise issues. The room exceeded my expectations for the cost in its charm and features. This is a great option for a midrange priced hotel! I would definitely stay here again."

"This was a night away for my wife and I. We thought the facilities and room were perfect for us. The hotel was in good repair but retained its period charm. The staff could not have been more helpful. Service in the restaurant was very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. The quality of the food served up in the evening didn't quite live up to the high quality of the rest of our stay, but it was perfectly pleasant."

"This is a nice hotel but it is removed from the center of Oxford University, so is a bus or taxi ride away. It is nice hotel, very clean and the breakfast buffet is fantastic. I sat in the lounge one late evening working and had the opportunity to observe the Deskman, Paul. He was the kindest, most accomodating person I have seen in such a position in a long time. Amazing person. "
