“Can't wait to go back”
“great for business or family.”
very satisfied with this hotel and even more so with the price. located in Northern Jakarta, you can save a lot of $$$ staying here instead of the Hyatt or other premium hotels down in the central Jakarta area.
“bit of everything”
We stayed on the Premier floor, so I presume the room was a bit larger than on other floors. It had a huge desk and a chaise. Premier Lounge for breakfast was great. Not too many people and the food had a decent assortment. The hotel is connected to a mall, but the shopping quality was very subpar. Better to take a cab to other shopping malls. Location is in north Jakarta, but that was good for us because it was between the old town (Batavia) and the city center, which were our two main destinations for our 1-day visit. There is a Carrefour downstairs but we never made it there since it closes at 10pm. Room service food was good (we has siomai and nasi goreng).
“Shopping not satisfactory”
Mangga Dua shopping is a little low class compare with hotel standard but near to Theme Park if you intend to go there. Nevertheless we can stay at the theme park hotel if we intend to stay there for 2 to 3 nights
no bathtub for 4 star hotel?????? furthermore the restroom looks dirty.
The room was good size, but hot, AC wasn't working perfectly. There was some odd loudy trembling noice and it did stop after 11pm, it was very disturbing, atleast for me. The pool was quite clean and very big size. Overall quite nice hotel. And only 30 min from airport.
“Convenient so so.”
Very convenient of its location for shopping, but restaurant in this hotel close so early to eat something. Option is to have room services or go to indomarket nearby.
“OK for short business travel”
Overall OK for business travel purpose. Room size is good, furnitures are good. 1. However bathroom condition seems dilapidated and old with stained mosaics, and falling parts from shower. 2. Mini bar fridge didn't work and i had to get them to change 2 times - final 3rd unit worked eventually near midnight hour. the service team could have checked this more thoroughly for routine maintenance instead of waiting for guest to find out this and made complaint. Credits to the service team as they were very helpful and quick to have this changes made quickly. 3. Wi-fi connection is a problem. Difficult to connect, and once connect doesn't work
“Stinking towels and pathetic overall!!”
This hotel is in a shopping mall by an openb stream/drain running through this part of the city. The mall is ok. The hotel is poor however. The rooms have several defects, where the toilets were literally falling apart. There was mould in the corners of the shower stall glass. The drain was choked and it took time to drain out both in the shower and basin. The airconditioning basically has no accurate thermostat control. It gets very cold even though one sets the tempearture higher meaning the control system is defective. The towels were absolutely pathetic and stinking. They were in a very old conditon and like towels normally used for foot mats outside the shower. All the 4 nights we stayed there had the same kind of towels every single day though they were changed by housekeeping. The room cleaning was also not very meticulous. Small bits of trash mistakenly left outside the dustbin, was found the next day even after the room was cleaned over 2 separate days. This goes to show the attention to detail. But then, is Novotel a cheap brand; whereby I probably am expecting too much of them??!!
