Excellent hotel, close to a train station and bus routes. Its on a side street so its very quiet during the day and night. Very good breakfast. Rooms are very nice too.

Quiet area, easy walking access to 2 tube stations. We were here for 2 nights, the staff was really nice to work with, we got the breakfast option, you could order a la cart and additional meal options.

Pleasantly surprised how nice this propwery was. Very well maintained & met my expectations. The feont seak peraonnel was nice but wish they were a littlw more knowledgeable about amenities in the area and providing directions. The tv had very few channels & even fewer with watchable reception. Impossible to news, weather or event information - definitely disappointing.

The hotel was perfect for our weekend stay. Really clean and great facilities and it was very quiet and peaceful. Location was fantastic.

Es war ein wundervoller Urlaub. Wie waren als Paar dort für 3 Tage und unser Englisch ist nicht das beste. Dank dem Personal Abi und Bianca die sich echt viel Zeit für uns genommen haben und zusammen mit meinem jetzigen Mann einen Heiratsantrag geplant haben und auch ein paar Sachen dafür besorgt haben muss ich sagen war dies eines der schönsten Kurzurlaube für uns ein sehr großes Dankeschön. Dank diesen beiden Personen wurde dieses ein ganz besonderer Urlaub. Wir werden aufjedenfall wiederkommen.

Disgusting and uncomfortable
In my 35+ years of staying in hotels, I have never been as disgusted as when I saw the state of the throw pillows on the bed. They must have been thrown on the floor many times and never been washed. See the attached pictures, which are not even colour-accurate because my smart phone apparently can't take the picture properly. After going online and reading other reviews, I decided not to go downstairs to complain because it's obvious from those reviews it woulnd't make any difference. It means the hotel staff has simply given up on their guests and on any level of quality. Why hotels keep insisting on putting throw pillows on beds is beyond me. Why would you put something that is rarely washed and often ends up on the floor on clean white linnen, where people put their face on to sleep ? There is no function at all, it is not even esthetically more appealing than a bed with clean white linnen and pillows. Next to the disgusting state of the throw pillows, the mattress was without a doubt the firmest I've ever tried to sleep on... and failed miserably. According to my watch, I sleep for 3,5 hours in segments of 30 minutes. I checked out after 1 of 2 nights. I will absolutely never stay in a Clayton Hotel again.

Vi bodde på våning 2. Utsikten var rakt på en innergård. Luktade speciellt, när man kom ut från hissen möttes man av en speciell doft. Rummet luktade också extremt starkt, en blandning av målarfärg och något annat..ganska hårda sängar, sköna kuddar och täcken.

Pleasant stay NY eve
New Year’s Eve last minute booking - always a bit wierd going into London. Wanted this part of town for access the following day & it was great. Sure, no views of Thames or suchlike, but pleasant hotel unquiet street close to tube (Moorgate or Bank). Lovely breakfast with complimentary fizz on NY morning.

We really enjoyed our stay. The standout was the room size, incredibly spacious and comfortable for London standards. Location is perfect if you travel through Stansted, great access throughout the city due to Liverpool Street Station. During the weekends, the area is really quiet (shops and restaurants closed) but plenty of options in walking distance.

3 overnatninger på hotellet, far og søn. Havde dobbeltværelse med separate senge. Hotellet er godt med et dejligt og hjælpsomt personale. Det er placeret ikke ret langt fra Liverpool Street station, hvilket gøre det dejlig nemt at komme til og fra lufthavnen. Gå afstand til Underground, der fører til alle de områder man kunne tænke sig at besøge i London. Placeringen er inde i byen, så der er ingen udsigt. Restauranten er god, dog uden aft have det helt store udvalg.

Poor service
Reception staff weren’t overly friendly on arrival, just left us standing for ages without acknowledging us. I had to directly ask to be checked in. The hotel is nice but the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I usually stay at the Clayton in Cambridge and it is really, really comfy. This bed was nothing like it. We both woke up with a sore back. Our stay was fine, we just used the hotel as a base but again on checking out the staff weren’t overly friendly and made it feel like you were putting them out asking for anything. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the lack of customer service.
