We loved our stay at The Windermere Hotel. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and there was minimal noise from outside. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Location was very convenient to Victoria Coach Station and Victoria train station. What a gem of a hotel!

We had a very good few days. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was quite spacious and very clean with a big, comfy bed, a good-sized bathroom and a roomy shower. The breakfast was better than expected, although a little limited time wise. The location is good, with a number places to eat close by and 3 underground stations within walking distance. We would happily stay there again.

Great little boutique hotel in central London, with character and very good value for money. The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary full English breakfast nice and filling (they had different options available as well). The place had a friendly vibe. I would very happily return there. The only slightly negative point is the sound proofing wasn't very good, but that's normal in older buildings.

Outstanding property with very attentive and helpful front desk staff. Even the smallest of rooms (Little Ben on the lower level) was pleasantly decorated, very clean, and contained all amenities. Little Ben also looked out onto a well-maintained courtyard an added plus. Breakfast was hearty and healthy. Highly recommend

This a pretty good little spot, a bit away from Victoria where all the underground train services are but still within walking distance if you’re in good health. The staff is super friendly, and If you get the breakfast included, it is amazing. What we found a bit concerning was that the heat was automatically set to turn on at night, but managed to figure out how to turn it off. We are hot bodies and we wanted to use the air conditioner but the remote to turn it on was missing. We had to crack open the window to cool the room down, unfortunately there is no screen for the window, fortunately no bugs came in to chew us up. Upon receiving housekeeping services , I layer down on the bed and one of the pillows had a bad smell. Fortunately my second pillow smelled fresh and was able to get rest. Lastly after our last housekeeping service as well the house keeper left a window cleaner spray bottle in our bathroom. We were too tired to complain since we had a day trip to Paris and walked over 11miles that day.

It's great that you made the most of our excellent location, and even managed a day trip to Paris. We do have air-conditioning in the summer months. You were with us in November during a cold spell, which called for central heating. Every room has a radiator which can be adjusted to control the temperature. All of our rooms have windows that open for lovely fresh air, and it is very common to open the windows in London. Fly screens are certainly not needed here, and you may have noticed on your travels that UK buildings do not have such screens. I am sorry to hear about the housekeeping errors, and I have already spoken to our team. Our team is on-site 24/7, so it is a shame that you did not ask us for assistance during your stay, as we could have rectified any issues immediately.We hope to welcome you again!

Excellent base for Central London
The Windermere hotel is a lovely boutique hotel situated a stone’s throw from Victoria railway and coach stations. Set in a chic neighbourhood, close to the King’s Road shopping district, it offers warm, stylish & clean rooms, including a delicious complimentary breakfast. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Thank you for your comments. It is a shame that we did not meet your expectations. We are small boutique hotel (townhouse style) in Central London and do have limited amenities as advertised. We do however have a team on site 24 hours a day, drinks are available to order 24/7 for our guests, we offer complimentary wifi and complimentary breakfast to our guests. The Windemere was a fabulous place! The location was superb with so many great restaurants within a couples blocks and easy access to everywhere you could want to go. Although the room was relative small, it was functional and the entire property had a quaint feeling. The owners and the entire staff were fantastic. The breakfast was wonderful and we found the location was conveniently location near public transportation and within walking distance to many of the more popular sites.

Intimate feel, like a guest house. Lovely staff, actually felt like it was run by family. We walked to the Tate Britain, and to the theater. Plenty of dining nearby. Room was a little small. Breakfast, which has been well reviewed, was actually not to our liking. It felt too restricted, like you could have this with that but not that with that. Really nice neighborhood. Would definitely choose this hotel again in that neighborhood.

Lovely hotel, great value, staff and breakfast!
All the staff at the hotel were great, the room was lovely and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! We had a great time and would definitely recommend- our only slight issue was that we could hear people moving about in the room above us very early in the morning. I guess it can’t be helped in an old building and it was probably just bad luck that the people in the room above perhaps an early flight thought.

It was quaint. Appreciated its home like comfort vs a large chain hotel. You could hear creaks as people walk around but that was part of the charm. The breakfast was so much better than expected. Our stay in the Windermere was excellent. All the staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. We appreciated the elevator and the room was large with lovely decor. Breakfast was outstanding. The chef did a great job preparing and cheerfully serving breakfast. We would have extended our stay if rooms were available. Convenient to Victoria station. Would definitely stay there again if we return to London.
