Dear Guest,Thank you for leaving a review regarding your stay at our hotel.About the ants in your room, we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. First of all, our hotel is not infested with ants. As you can see in other reviews, our Guests don't mention any infestation. You spent 4 nights in the room but never told us there were any ants. On the 5th night, when you reported it, the receptionist indeed called the Manager. He was not laughing at all about this situation as he and the Manager had been talking on the phone for a long time when you came down and about other things that were not related at all. This is a huge misunderstanding probably because they were speaking in French and you couldn’t understand.The hotel was indeed full that night. That is why we couldn't give you another room right away. This matter was reported only two times to us. There were very few ants coming from the balcony on the 5th floor. We think they were coming from the trees which are just in front of the balconies. We did put some products and we called a company to get rid of that problem.Unfortunately, when it starts to get warm after a long winter, ants start to come out. It is not a plague and ants are not dirty as some other insects. However, we take this matter very seriously and do everything so it doesn't happen again. Regarding your comment about 3 couples who would have left our hotel because of the ants problem, I can assure you that no other Guest than you left our hotel before the end of their stay for any reason whatsoever. Regarding our staff, we always have excellent feedbacks and very good rating. Usually the reviews described our staff as very friendly and very helpful. Therefore, we are very surprised by your negative comments about our receptionists.Best Regards,

Bonjour Nawal,Nous vous remercions d'avoir publié un commentaire suite à votre séjour à Hôtel Alane. Concernant le chauffage, les indications du gouvernement français en matière d'économie d'énergie et d'écologie sont de le limiter à 19/20 en hiver. Nous avons fait le choix de le limiter à 22 alors que nous sommes actuellement au printemps, et nous augmentons tout de même la température à la demande des clients. Concernant le ménage, comme tout hôtel de notre catégorie, il y a un règlement intérieur et des horaires à respecter. Habituellement, les clients encore dans leur chambre aux horaires de ménage soit descendent quelques instants à la réception, soit nous disent qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de faire le ménage dans leur chambre. Nous leur apportons simplement ce dont ils ont besoin à leur demande (serviettes propres, café et thé, papier toilettes, etc...). Pour un service en chambre 24h/24h, il faut plutôt réserver un hôtel 5 étoiles. Notre femme de chambre a gentiment accepté de faire le ménage dans votre chambre alors que vous y étiez, ce qui est contraire à notre règlement. Pour des raisons de sécurité et pour la protection de notre personnel, nous préférons que les femmes de ménage n'entrent dans les chambres qu'une fois les clients sortis.Concernant le petit-déjeuner, il s'agit d'un buffet sans menu spécifique. Il peut y avoir des oeufs certains jours et pas d'autres. Néanmoins, tous les jours, nous servons des viennoiseries, différents types de pain, des yaourts, des fruits, des céréales, des fromages et de la charcuterie, des confitures, des boissons chaudes et froides, etc.Cordialement,

Therefore, it is a quite busy area. However, all our rooms are equipped with double-glazed windows. Depending of our availabilities, our guests can request to have a room on a high floor. These rooms are usually quieter than the ones on the lowest floors.Many customers find our mattresses very comfortable but this is very subjective and depends on individual habits. The location of the hotel, in the center of Paris near Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est, makes that sometimes there is traffic noise in the street, but our windows are double glazed, so with close windows we don’t hear any sounds from the outside. Regarding the bathroom smelt,our reception is open 24/24h, you could ask our receptionist, it’s his job to make sure that your stay is the best as it could be. We hope to see you soon in Paris!
