Received scam emails where someone had taken our details from the hotel and asked for card details, then kept receiving follow up emails but could not tell if these were also scams.
One of the lifts were broken so it was a slow wait at times.
On check in the first thing we noticed was the dirty cushion displayed in the middle of the bed with the fabric being all marked and pulled.
There was also a stain on the duvet covers.
The ‘sea view’ room was wildly different to the photograph advertised for that room type on Expedia, we had a view of cars parked outside, the roof below and the crumbling buildings that surrounded the hotel.
There were only hand towels in the bathroom so we had to call to request towels that we could use for the shower.
The inside of the bathroom door was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned, it had lots of drip marks running down it.
The room was so noisy, we could hear the lifts, showers and toilets in other rooms as well as noise from outside.
None of this is was we would expect from the ‘luxury boutique’ hotel and photos advertised and would not book to stay again. Our room would have been cleaner if we were to stay at a budget chain hotel.
I did send this complaint to the hotel along with photographs and they have ignored my email so I can only assume that they don’t care about their customers experience.
