"Love the location! "

"Corridor to rooms needed a refurbishment. Bathroom let the room down. No Plug in sink, no hand wash next to sink. Two shampoos in shower, no body wash. Bed covers not sufficient. Too short. When you turned over the covers came off your body."

"The room we stayed in had windows but the view was one of other buildings blocking any view.other than that this Hotel is very good in every aspect for a tourist."

"This hotel is great. Friendly professional staff. They always try to accommodate your needs. Very busy at breakfast time but lots of tables with good selection of food. Service excellent. Kareen very pleasant and always finds a nice place for you to sit Convenient for city centre. Great bus service into city. Lots of parking. Have stayed a few times now. "

"This hotel is exactly as it is online..beautiful. The check in staff could not be more helpful. But If including breakfast, be prepared to wait and not necessarily welcomed or helped!! Gym facilities great and very clean. Would go back in a heartbeat. "

"The hotel is 250 metres from the main train station downtown so couldn’t be more convenient. The room was tastefully done and very clean. The staff were friendly and efficient. "

"Was really good for early start for a flight the only thing is the bus you have to take people to the airport didn’t drop people at departure which is not good if you can’t walk to far which I can’t if I’d known that before hand I would have booked a taxi but they told me at the desk that it did "

"One night stop over in a large spacious room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Huge comfortable bed was just what was needed before the big push to the south after our trip to Moray. Perfect location for visiting the Kelpies and Waterwheel "

"Great location on a quiet street right off the Royal Mile. Steps away from St Giles Cathedral and very close to Grassmarket. Easy walk to Waverley station. Would advise using a cab to the hotel if you have large bags as uphill walk can be tough. Much easier to go downhill. Rooms were great and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again."

John the general manager is running a “fine” hotel. Staying again next eeek at the end of my Scotland journey!"

"Ideally located hotel for the train station and great local food, drink and shopping options. Spacious room, staff always happy to help. Hotel bar closes very early which is a shame as it's where you'd expect to have a late drink before heading to bed."
