"Pleasant stay. Building was clean, quiet and staff was just wonderful. The family taking care of the place was warm and friendly. Havana is generally a safe city but they still had a security guard at the entrance overnight which is comforting as a solo traveler. "This wasn't a hotel, this felt like home. The staff are amazing. Jorge treated me well. Adrian was the night shift, he and I chatted all night. Vanessa was there during the day. The food is incredible. My room was cleaned every day. They arranged for me to sight see and take tours. My phone was stolen at the beach in Varadero (2 hours away). Vanessa offered to have me use her phone to call my family. She organized a taxi for me to get a phone and SIM card while I was there. The next day was my birthday and I was a little sad because I lost my phone. They made cake and sang for me on my birthday. They made sure I felt at home. The place was quite. The first floor is the lobby and eating area. The 4th floor is the roof top where you have breath-taking views. The hotel is in walking distance of Malecon. I was walking there at 10PM and at 5AM. I felt completely safe! Sit and talk with the staff about the background and culture. It's a free experience and you will learn a lot! I am planning to return to Cuba and will stay here again. This was an amazing experience because of the hotel staff. "
