" The staff was excellent. It was a "little tricky" finding it but once we got there everybody was accommodating. Short walk up to the main square upon arriving was excellent. Breakfast was great! Truly unique experience."

The restaurant on the first floor is awesome and you can get a glass of wine when you return at night to bring up to your room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Despite having a nice pool (with few sun lounges) and being in a good location, the additional costs of a kettle, iron & pool towels is mean-spirited & not consistent with a 4 star hotel. The limited, inflexible, unappetizing breakfast is also poor. In a country that grows millions of oranges, why would you offer guests orange drink? "The concierge was wonderful. She was a young employee who called 3 restaurants for us before finding one that could take us that evening! Breakfast was substantial with eggs and pancakes and there was a lovely outdoor patio on which to enjoy it. "

"Booked this hotel for a one night stay as we were flying out home the next morning. At 5am in the morning, we reached the airport in 10 minutes. Comfortable room, kids slept on the pull out sofa, it was clean and service was great. We walked to a mall 10 mins away for dinner. Would be happy to stay here again but not with bigger kids as the pull out bed might be too small and uncomfortable."

"Lovely old house now run as a family business hotel. Great location if you don't mind a short walk into Sintra. Free parking is a bonus as driving and parking in Sintra can be a nightmare. Super friendly staff and fabulous buffet breakfast. Room comfortable but no glasses for drinking water. For the price it would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities and possibly a bottle of drinking water. That said, we loved it and would come again."
