We were only staying one night and I wasn't going to review as we got in late and left early but I wanted people to know what to expect. The sheets are clean and the beds were comfy but there are dubious stains all over including the walls. The decor is very tired and some of the furnishings look like recycled things from the 60s. As for cleanliness there is mould on the bottom of the provided shower gel containers, the underneath of the sink was filthy.

Convenient, economical, bedroom and bathroom clean. decor tired, communal areas grubby and walls very thin so all conversation and movement can be heard from surrounding rooms.

We had a highly disappointing and unacceptable experience during our stay at this hotel. We checked out the very next day, and demanded a full refund of our 2 nights stay. The room was unclean, with visible dust and mold throughout. The carpet was worn out. Additionally, the bathroom ceiling leaked overnight, causing significant flooding on the floor. It was horrific. This left us in an extremely uncomfortabl and unsafe situation with electrical heating rail exposed in water. Unfortunately, the night manager was unhelpful and unresponsive. They were unable to provide a replacement room or even basic assistance, such as a mop to clean and dry the flooded floor. He provided us with a few towels to keep on the floor. Infact ironically he admitted that of the 116 rooms in the hotel we were the unlucky ones. This has been one of the most unsatisfactory hotel experiences we have ever encountered. We have formally requested a full refund for our stay. Expedia is expected to conduct thorough due diligence on the properties it lists to ensure they meet acceptable standards for its customers.
Aberdeen deserves better hotels than this

Pictures no resemblance to hotel rooms. We found out that it’s two buildings and we were staying in the other half next door to reception. Parking, was told it’s about £15 for a night and isn’t onsite, however road parking is free from 6pm to 8am and then £4/hour up to 2hrs. The building has a manual keypad on the door which was broken and the door was just open. No reception or staff to monitor who is coming or going. You then have to traverse a maze of corridors and staircases with unclear signage as to what rooms are located where. ( another couple also couldn’t find their room). Having finally gone down three different corridors and staircases we managed to find our room. The general state of the corridors and carpet are in very bad condition and dirty. In the room, the carpet is just as dirty as out in the corridors. Our room had bits of tissue on the floor along with chewing gum and several iron imprints. Most of the furniture was sticky to touch and also all the drawers had staining in the bottom of them and two didn’t even have bottoms in them as they were broken. In the bathroom, there was ancient dried on urine all over the base of the toilet and the shower had mould and hair all over it. There were no towls in the room so had to go back outside to reception to ask. Bed linen was clean though. Despite booking breakfast, we were told that there isn’t any as the kitchen is closed for refurbishment. Also TV doesn’t work as not connected to the internet or aerial.

Great central location and affordable. Budget hotel standard but lots of potential. The Brentwood needs lots of TLC and a deep clean. The room I was in had a strong unpleasant smell, stained carpet, furniture and walls. After a clean and purchasing an air freshener in was tolerable.

Room was not clean, coke bottle under bed, clearly not vacuumed. Bed was hard and lumpy. Bathroom mirror unwashed. Door had no safety lock. It was inexpensive and served the purpose but I can’t recommend.

Where to start? On check-in was advised no breakfast as issues with kitchen. Had paid extra for this and still waiting on confirmation of refund. Building and room were extremely dated and looked like nothing has been done for at least 30 years. Mattress was definitely well beyond its useful life and springs completely gone so it felt like sleeping in a bath. Carpet felt damp but probably due to cold from underneath. Shower (in bath) was as least warm but flooded floor of bathroom when used. Walls are so thin you could hear the conversations in the room next door which didn't help when their normal speaking voice could probably be heard on the other side of Aberdeen. On a positive note the room was warm and there was a kettle. Having said that I will not be back.

Don't stay at the Brentwood Aberdeen City Centre near Union Street.I notified the hotel of my arrival time via their digital check-in system and arrived exactly when stated. Despite this, I was not shown to my room as their instructions promised—just told where to go. When I got there, the room had not been cleaned: dirty linens on the bed, a bag of rubbish on the floor, and an open drinks bottle left behind. Given that the hotel knew when I was arriving, this was unacceptable. The receptionist offered no apology and simply told me to wait 20 minutes. After waiting, I was told I’d be moved to a different room.The replacement room was also problematic. The blind was broken, and the maintenance man walked in without knocking before telling me it couldn’t be repaired until the following week. The chair was broken, with the seat detached from the frame. The heated towel rail only had two rails that worked. The bathroom mirror light didn’t work at all—I took photos and a video as proof. There was visible water damage and mould on the bathroom ceiling. The hallway carpets were stained, and the corridor outside my room was thick with cigarette smoke on both nights.On top of this, the digital keypad system failed. I was locked out of my room after the first night until someone at reception reset it. A neighbouring guest was less fortunate—he spent over an hour in the early hours trying to get into his room, triggering the keypad alarm

I was moved to another room on arival because my room (was a disgraceful) Then I was followed by another guests at the hotel and he got into my private space. Because there is no lock on the downstairs entrance door. I was absolutely terrified to sleep. The noicses were extremely bad. I had to go to reception in the (in the next building) in my bare feet, because i hot locked out of my room chasing a man away from my door. I am luckily alive after being stalked by another guest. The room was dirty. And there was no cups in the room to make a coffee. Absolutely shocking service.

Not sure where to start it’s the worst hotel I have in my 48 years stayed in ! Room was filthy, freezing cold and the tv looked like it had been ripped from the wall (it also didn’t work), the WiFi wouldn’t connect and it was smelly. We left within 5 minutes and stayed elsewhere in the city.
