"Beautiful surroundings with an outside terrace overlooking a small lake, quiet. Staff very courteous and helpful. Grounds could do with a bit of tidying, cigarette stubs everywhere. Sink in bathroom problematic for shorter people, needed to stretch over the counter to use it, tap also very stiff to use and leaking. Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again."

"Couldn’t shower due to the very low roof in the bathroom, and I hit my head on it. When I booked I was led to believe that a full breakfast was included in our tariff, and we were asked to pay if we wanted it. No fan in our stuffy room either"

"Lovely staff, fast food nearby. Dont be fooled by thinking its a short walk to the train station! (Google tells you to walk along a dual carriageway) the station does however have free parking. Or a 20 minute walk through an industrial estate. A convenient hotel for anyone going to concerts or events in Cardiff."

"Staff were very accommodating to our request as we were staying with our slightly nervous dog. They gave us a room with easy access in and out of the hotel, which was very helpful. The rooms were very well insulated and kept the noise down. Breakfast was excellent too."

"Beautiful hotel, great location, immaculate and picturesque gardens. Rooms well decorated, clean, really can't complain about the aesthetics. Staff attentive. Breakfast choice very good and delicious. Our only complaint was the noise in the beer garden. The weather was really good, and so, attracted people (guests & non guests) to the beer garden. Music stopped playing at 1110, however, a number of people remained until approx 1am and were so loud, they (non guests) were asked by staff at...

"Excellent 2 night stay in Superior Room overlooking the fields. Massive room with air con, all facilities & amenities 10/10 - restaurant & breakfast top notch, patio area was great in the warm weather. By far the best hotel stay in the area, we’ve tried them all !"

"The exterior of the building is wonderful along with the grounds. The interior however is extremely run down and our first room We were given smelt damp and had to be moved to a better room but still then extremely basic and cleaning standard not great. Not helped also by the fact they only offer housekeeping every 3 days. Hotel with huge potential but not being looked after and requires urgent attention would not recommend anyone to stay there"
