"Figured we'd stay in Mayagüez for a night and then head over to some waterfalls in the general area. I don't usually gravitate towards hotel chains, but the island is still on the mend from the storm of '17 and earthquake of '20, and Holiday Inn is doing a pretty good job of presenting well maintained and comfortable properties around the island. Bed was comfortable, room and facilities were in good shape, and it was easy access to grab a bite to eat in town. I'd stay there again."

"The stay was overall enjoyable, but one issue worth noting is noise. Our room was located next to an event space, and one weekend night there was a loud event with music and heavy bass that could be felt in the room until late at night. It made it difficult to relax and sleep. In my opinion, this room should not be occupied on the nights with events."

"If you are looking for tranquility this is the place for you. The views are breathtaking and what postcards and painting are based off of. The property is meticulously maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We did have a few miscommunications but they always made sure to correct it. "The hotel staff were very friendly. The receptionist was helpful and recommended a few places to eat, what beaches to go to. She was great! The ladies that cleaned the room were friendly, it seemed they only made the beds and changed the towels for the bathroom and pool and did the trash. Not sure of their policy on cleaning the rooms occupied. The room was a nice size for a family of four. It was a bit outdated, the beds were terrible. Really uncomfortable, and bed frames broken on both beds....
