"My number 1 benefit, pet friendly. Good area for walking your fur baby. Quite a few pets during my stay. Room was clean with good amenities micro/fridge. Staff amazing. Smiles from every one during my staff and quick to respond to requests. Breakfast area unfortunately way too small. I pretty much grabbed coffee and left. Pool is really small, biggest drawback: location. Sat at what looked and formerly was a hotel for quite a while before a tenant came out and told me hotel was at the top of the hill. Be aware the hotel is at THE TOP of the large hill. Easily accessible to diwntown, Walmart, and a diner. All in all I would book again."

"The location is good. You are by a major semi truck parking area, but it didn’t seem to affect us. Convenient location with restaurants and gas station close by. The bed was comfortable. Coffee and breakfast good. Staff friendly and easy quick check in. There was definitely mold in our bathroom on the ceiling and a bit of red mold in the shower. It looks like they’re just painting over it so that was a bit of a concern if I would be staying there a long time. I didn’t have a blow dryer, but maybe I could’ve gotten one from the front desk. That was my first time not seeing one in the room. Room was a good size. Had a small fridge and a microwave and a good sized TV. The AC ran cold. It wasn’t loud outside when sleeping so that was good. The curtains dim the room pretty nicely. For some reason, the elevator smelled for three days like somebody had vomited in it so each time we had to ride the elevator it was a bit of a challenge. I don’t know if the trash is vented to it or what. Also, another odor we were hit with was every time we come in that front foyer, it smelled like body odor- pits, badly for the three days we stayed there."

"We are locals, but stayed at Hawthorn when going to a concert at the nearby Forum because it's in walking distance. The hotel offers free breakfast (although we left too early to take advantage of it). The downside is that even though you're a hotel guest who's stayed several times, you still have to pay separately for parking in the hotel's own parking lot. But the proximity to our venue as well as walking distance to nearby restaurants made it still worthwhile to us."
