"It is too far walking from train station. Bus not operating due to construction for a week. Even bus is operating, you still need to walk uphill about 500 m . We have to walk uphill for about 20 mins. I would suggest to stay in Grindelwald ( nice view ) or Interlaken area. They picked us up but their rate is not standardized, depends on the receptionist. "We returned to Akomo after a stay the week before. It's very well located for train travelers and a direct and close walk to shops and restaurants and trams. We had left an item behind and it was waiting for us when we returned. The room is basic and it's self-entry but this is reflected in the reasonable price. Ask the owner for a Bern Welcome Card for free local transport. S/he was very responsive to all contacts."

"This hotel is very accessible to places you want to visit in Switzerland. Richard is very hospitable. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is excellent. Quiet and easy to find. There are not a lot of restaurant close by but drivable if needed. The most beautiful thing that we experience is the VIEW of the mountains across the beautiful lake. "
