I am my wife stayed here for one night. I would say this property is extremely good, very near to Taj Mahal. The most favourable and romantic part of this property is having a restaurant of Taj Mahal view on top of the building. The most loving experience that we ate pakora and chai in evening while viewing the Taj Mahal is really marvellous. The behaviour of staff is really good.

When I booked this Sun Grand Hotel Agra property along with my family on 19th April to 20th April, 2025, a receptionist name Mr. Shabaz booked a return car for me from Agra to Gurgaon and took a token amount from me in cash. I paid that and then we boarded with the car booked by him. The car model was Toyota Innova, which I liked. After a while the driver asked me to pay the full amount at petrol pump and I denied initially but again he insisted me to pay and I paid fully. After that he told us to change the car and taken all the money from me. In place of that he asked me to get shifted on another car model Ertiga whom he called and asked to come.The new driver asked me to pay again. It's a total scam the made by the employee of the Hotel SHAHBAZ. I will not recommend anyone to go to this hotel. It's totally a scam.

Das Hotel liegt fussläufig zum Taj Mahal, welches wir am Morgen besichtigen wollten. Wir hatten die Taj Mahal View Suite gebucht, mit Balkon und Blick auf den oberen Part des Taj Mahal, welches aber nachts nicht angestrahlt ist und somit nach Sonnenuntergang nur als Silhouette sichtbar ist. Wer ein 4 oder 5 Sterne Hotel erwartet, liegt falsch und wie in Indien vielerorts üblich ist es durch das Hupen der Autos etc. Trotz Lage an einer kleinen Strasse relativ laut. Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Hotel war sehr freundlich. Es gibt einen Fahrstuhl. Die Einrichtung ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und zum Teil reparaturbedürftig, z.B. Scharniere im Schrank, aber unser Zimmer war im Großen und Ganzen sauber und mit AC, Wasserkocher Tee, Kaffee und Wasser und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Das Bett war bequem, die Dusche heiß und mit gutem Wasserdruck. Das Frühstück war o.k. Wir hatten insgesamt einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Au départ pas d’eau chaude, nous avons demandé à Hotel.com de l’aide nous voulions partir car 4 nuits de réserve rien, nous nous sommes débrouillés par nous même le personnel de l’hôtel nous a donné une autre chambre aussi, le soir c’est la lumière qui lâcher dans notre chambre, le garçon d’étage s’est plié en 4 pour réparer, nous étions au 2 étage, sur la terrasse vue dû le Taj Mahal, très proche à pied , Dans l’ensemble personnel très agréable efficace, notre taxi avait du retard, le personnel nous a offert une boisson. Les photos sont magnifiques, la réalité un peu en dessous. Heureusement que le personnel est efficace on oubli le reste . Lits confortables, restaurants très bon. On est en Inde et devant la beauté du Taj Mahal on est moins exigeant.

We felt that the room was neglected, the walls had water leakage issues, the rooms were a bit small than our expectations. Additionally the electricity in the rooms kept going off during the night, this is continued the entire night. Turing off the fans and acs and also making noise as well. We couldn’t sleep at all due to this and we were supposed to travel all day the following day and had to leave at 6-7 in the morning. This caused a lot of stress for the journey ahead.

Mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Vår AC slutade fungera första natten, men det löstes snabbt och smidigt med byte av rum morgonen efter. Även hjälpsamma med bussbokning mm.
