"The property is set on 26 acres on a “small” river (Big Thompson River) in Estes Park. The grounds are nice, and set up as a wedding (or event) venue. They have a good bit of frontage along the river, with benches interspersed. We stayed in “Shooting Star” in the main building’s second (top) floor. "It was a rustic cabin setting by a river. We enjoyed being able to get away from the crowds in Estes Park. Our cabin was unexpectedly very close to the other cabins, however, all the guests respected the quiet. Messaging with the host was easy and quick. The kitchenette and bathroom were tiny, but sufficient for our needs. We liked the screened porch with the swing on it. There was a sufficient wifi & tv signal. Location was close to everything in Estes Park. Check in/out was super easy."

The room was clean, comfortable (AC was a must for me and I was grateful our room had it plus a ceiling fan in the July heat), and in a beautiful location just outside of the downtown Estes Park area. We will definitely be back."

"This is a nice Holiday Inn....until you want to sit in the lobby and have a cup of coffee or a cold beer. For the life of me I dont understand what a pin ball machine is doing in the lobby....it is so loud and annoying. Most of the children playing on said machine didn't pay to play. They just beat on the machine for fun. Honestly this annoyance will keep me from staying there ever again."

"This was a great place to stay, but we will be looking forward to coming back again and seeing how some of the amenities have changed for the better. We recognize that they recently reopened and that there are changes that are coming, they just weren't present during our stay."

"We were visiting our daughter who was working at a camp down the road, and landed at the Dao House. We stayed in the lodge, which was beautiful. Our room had a door to a shared balcony and hummingbirds were everywhere. We had 2 queen beds for my family, and the room arrangement worked really well for the four of us (2 teens). Everything was very clean and the staff was beyond helpful. We went horseback riding at Elkhorn stables on the property, which made for a great afternoon. My hubby and...

"Clean units, outdated bedding and bed, cute set-up. Nice that the restaurant is right there. The outdoor pool was closed, which was disappointing, and there's no staff onsite that we saw. But a good stop in Estes Park as we traveled thru RMNP on to Steamboat."

"The staff was lovely and kind. The main pool and our hot tub were both really well maintained and clean. The carpet in the cabin had really large stains which were very unsightly. There was a great deal of dust on the furniture and ledges. The most disappointing aspect was that the wifi was down for most of our stay and I needed to work over the week. This made my work a challenge. Overall though it was a lovely vacation and we enjoyed ourselves. Everyone is so friendly."

"First of all, if you need ac you better request a room with It Not all rooms have it and sometimes it doesn’t work Second Lots of repairs needed inside and out. Lots of things are half done right ie weather stripping on the doors Shards not covering the whole window so you can peak in Stairs case falling apart Concrete rotted out It’s obvious to me they try hard but have no true understanding of maintenance and or how to repair Amateur at best Staff was nice"
