"I chose the Excelsior for its proximity to the train station, as I was arriving and leaving by train and also did an excursion by train to the Certosa nearby (which I highly recommend). It also was close enough to all of the other sights to be walkable. The room was spotlessly clean. Also, the city map provided by the hotel was excellent! Tourist maps often do not label all streets, or use printing so small that they are not user-friendly, but this one was great."

"J’ai réservé dans cet établissement une chambre pour 2 personnes et malgré les preuves « l’hôtelier » a persisté à me dire que je n’avais payé que pour une seule personne avec des sous-entendus. Il a d’ailleurs tout fait pour me faire payer cet état de fait qui n’était que de son fait. "B&B on huge comital estate down very long gravel drive (or lane) and restaurant is nearby. Delicious home-grown produce, fresh eggs and home-made pasta were served. Restaurant not open Monday and Tuesday but we were given a lovely snack on Tuesday we arrived. And as we were leaving we saw a baby owl in tree!"
