It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. The hotel was AMAZING and the service was great, the only thing that wasn’t comfortable is the pillows I hope they change them other the that everything was great and peaceful in this hotel highly recommended!!!

Wow, this is a magical paradise! By far the best resort and service I’ve ever seen. It’s very exclusive since there are only 9 villas in 7 acres of lush greenery and mountains. The staff provided such personalized service that you feel like royalty. The views are breathtaking. Simply amazing!

Wonderfully secluded boutique hotel in the jungle. The villas are beautiful, and the pool overlooks the mountains and the jungle. It’s highly recommended for a retreat from the busy mountain roads of Kandy region. The staff is wonderful : professional and welcoming with maybe one small issue to improve regarding very limited English proficiency of most staff, except for very good manager, which can make communication and questions difficult.
