"The conditions were very basic. The room was small, containing only a bed, a chair, a small wardrobe, and a sink—that was all. Breakfast was also simple. However, the staff were friendly and efficient. The room, shared bathroom, and kitchen were all clean."

"The property and rooms were clean, the only problem is the bathroom door on our floor would not lock so we had to use the one upstairs. So it was a little bit of competition for the bathroom. The breakfast that was included was very nice and the only place on our 10-day stay in Iceland that provided a free breakfast so that was much appreciated. The location was great, right next to the big church, walking distance to many restaurants and shops and great views of the city."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Guesthouse Galtafell! Our room was very comfortable and the location was great. We even ran in to a small issue getting in to our room and someone was able to come help us very quickly. Check-in was very easy and we would love to come again."

"The location is great -- it is right in the center of town, and there are restaurants, shops, and cultural venues within 5 or 10 minutes' walk. The property is clean and well-maintained, and there is a good-sized kitchen with cooking wares, dishes, and utensils. The other guests were consideration and collegial."
