"We paid almost 1000 USD for a room but were very disappointed in the quality of the room. It was a very basic room (like a 3 star hotel). The bathroom was old and the tiles had mold & mildew. The room was poorly furnished and we were shocked that they cherished 1000$ for it. We could have stayed at luxury hotels in Nice for the same price (we checked the rates). Do NOT recommend staying here."

Marriott offers members the ability to extend their stay which presumably is to be exercised before check out time. "Air conditioner at this property is terrible, the whole room felt humid, the bedsheets felt damp the whole time we weren't there, we had to ask for a fan to bring in our room as the temperature and damp feeling was unbearable. We went to the extreme of booking 1 night in a different hotel with actual working AC just down the street from Mercure. We asked the staff to go check the AC but it never worked, we also asked to change rooms but no one followed up so we didn't ask again. The front...
