"The staff was very friendly and nice. Property is basic but pretty clean. Could use some updates, which it looked like they were doing. Outdoor space is nice. Reviews said breakfast was better than other hotels, but I didn't think there was a very good selection and no gluten free items. My husband enjoyed the evening cookies. A little far out from San Diego if planning activities there. I wanted to be out of the city, but it was maybe a little too far."

"A plain and simple lodging for sleeping and resting that was the lowest price point for two days. Clean, uncluttered, freeway close, tv, air. Best part is the concierge at the front desk. Very friendly, very helpful, explained the charges and procedures very thoroughly and clearly. I’ll be back."

However, if you want a truly unique and amazing stay with history, charm and personality I highly recommend Vineyard Hacienda. "It was run down, needed repairs, and the should be ashamed to charge the rates they did for that place. As I went to check in, there was some inspector there saying this was the 3rd they had a violation. The next time would be a fine. No idea what that was about but it could've been any number of things. They had a water issue and had the water off for 2 hours trying fix it."
