Well, there is no property staff. It was clean and nicely appointed, a pretty nice place. However - they have a massive bowl of ear plugs in the common area - take this note: if you are at all bothered by noise - you will need the ear plugs. These are some of the noisiest rooms I have ever experienced. Ironically - the air conditioning split-unit was very quiet, as was the ceiling fan. But everything else… Yes, there is a bar downstairs with bands playing - we knew that and we enjoyed watching them for a while. But even after that: the trains a block away blow their horns right near the hotel and it’s a very busy rail line. Trucks and motorcycles on the main road have a 4 way stop so they are always revving their engines hard right outside your window. There are people in the halls and common areas talking loudly or playing music. The walls are super thin - you hear all the snoring, breathing, and talking in either room beside you.

Parking is problematic and the noise from the restaurant below is very loud until they close for the night. The place itself is pretty 'tired' but the bedding was very good.

I loved staying here. It was clean and the room was beautiful. I was a little skeptical at first when I seen the place outside but it was gorgeous inside.

Unacceptable amounts of noise that woke us up multiple times with management being slow to unwilling to respond. No on-site parking, you have to rely on spots being available on the street or in the free city lot behind the building. The bed was comfy.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is 2nd floor of a bar which is pretty noisy until midnight. Otherwise, you will enjoy your stay!

Have trouble to find it on my own, have to ask. It is a door to upstairs and easy to oversight. No staff there but no trouble to use access code to check in room. Given the area, I would not complain.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the atmosphere was lovely. The location is unbeatable if you’re visiting the Big Bend area—perfectly situated and very convenient. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Room and bath were small and cramped. Not a single towel bar in the bathroom. Entrance door with combination number lock stood open several times which made me feel unsave as anybody could have walked up to the rooms. The concierge that was supposed to be there on the weekend was not present. But the worst was the NOISE. Thin walls, gap under the door, therefore lots of noise from other hotel guest. Lots of music and noise from the business below the rooms even though I had asked in writing about that twice and was assured that this would not be an issue. Plus serious noise from the road (busy intersection) and the railway line (honking all night). Will never stay there again.

Nice spot in town to stay at. Room was clean and comfortable. The noise from the band below didn't bother me and was over around 11pm. Would stay here again.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I arrived to check in only to discover that the room had not been cleaned at all after the previous guests. Dirt used sheets, towels and trash from previous guest. Obvious signs that the room hadn’t been touched since the last check out. I immediately contacted the property, and they claimed they would “take care of it.” An hour passed and nothing was done. No follow-up, no apology, no urgency. I was left sitting there late at night with nowhere to stay after paying for a room that was clearly not ready or acceptable. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The property failed to provide even the most basic service — a clean, usable room — and showed zero effort to resolve the situation in a reasonable timeframe. I ended up having to find another hotel last minute because they simply did not care. Avoid this place at all costs. If you value cleanliness, communication, or basic hospitality, go anywhere else

They definitely need a big sign so people know where it’s at. Beds were a little too soft for me. They need to clean underneath the beds pretty dirty. Rooms were too small to move around

The room was small. I had a reserved a deluxe room expecting a queen size bed. There waa a smaller double bed. The bed was otherwise comfortable and room was clean. I would have expected at least a chair in the room, but there was none. There is a common room with a refrigerator to put some stuff in, but none in your room. The staff was friendly but it is not staffed full time (which i knew before hand). The biggest problem was the location a block away from the hotel. I was woken up at least 4-5 times throughout the night by VERY loud train whistles. Obviously the hotel can not control this and they did provide ear plugs for your use. But i did not see anything about this previously. I would not return unfortunately because it is right in the heart of the town near restaurants.
