Great old English inn. Very friendly staff, good food and beers. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept.

Lovely room - nice and clean and bed very comfy. Good in the pub downstairs was absolutely fabulous - huge portions and very tasty. Highly recommend 👍

The staff were terrific and good outstanding!

Beautiful location. Greeted by friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. So incredibly helpful. Room was perfect. Very comfortable. Breakfast was a Full-Cooked and was delicious. Extremely large portions. Would highly recommend this little gem. Excellent value for money.

Large room with comfortable bed. Breakfast excellent cooked to perfection. Ate lunch one day meal was also excellent cannot fault the food at all.

Very prompt friendly and efficient book in even though staff were preparing for a busy night, room immaculate and clean all new bathroom. The drive to and from the hotel was breathtaking especially if you head for Carlisle like I did. Thanks for having me I hope to visit again. Best wishes Michael

The staff at The Rose and Crown are some of the friendliest I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We were down for a wedding, and they were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was cooked fresh. The village is small, and bit out of the way, but offers excellent walking trails.

My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again on our way home from Scotland in a week and am looking forward to it. The coked breakfast is huge and really good, as is the porridge. The ingredients they use use are top...

Place was easy enough to find with adequate parking right outside. On going in there was a friendly welcoming greating and there was nothing to check-in. After check-in we were asked if would be having an evening meal which we accepted. We had opted for a larger double room and it was clean and tidy and what you would expect from a rural country inn. After settling in to our room we went down to the bar area which was clean and had a nice country inn atmosphere with the log burner keeping...

It was immaculate and in an ideal location for me. The room was lovely and spacious with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. The staff were friendly and approachable and the car is secure, Nothing to fault.
