A very quiet old fashioned style which we loved. Excellent breakfast. The entrance gate is a challenge! We would certainly return to this charming very centrally located guest house.

Jill gave a very warm welcome. Had a wonderful stay, Very clean, very peaceful. Breakfast was fab, everything you could possibly wish for. Parking free. 10 minute walk to town centre, so perfect too. Location perfect.

Our “go to” place when we want excellent food and service and complete relaxation and peace and quiet. A beautiful house in a wonderful location with amazing gardens. The only extra I would like is some bird feeders around the garden to make photographing easier. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay.

This is a 5 star BnB, set in beautiful gardens and farming land, very quiet (except for the occasional RAF trainer jets during the day) and elegantly appointed. Close enough to town but away from the madding crowd! Of our 4 weeks travel thus far, this has been the standout.

Wonderful place to stay, a true country guesthouse. Easy 10 minute walk from Ambleside. The mountain view from my room was stunning, watching the evening sun over the Fairfield Horseshoe. So peaceful, the only noises you'll hear are sheep and birds. Highly recommended.

We'd been walking all day, so really appreciated the lovely warm, snug room with armchairs positioned to admire the lovely mountain views and the selection of hot drinks provided. Bathroom really nice with a big bath (and plenty of hot water) and walk in shower. We headed to the Badger Bar, about 1km down the road, for a lovely meal. Breakfast was fabulous - good selection of cereals and fresh fruit salad, then either a generous full cooked breakfast or smoked salmon and eggs. Would stay again.
