We had a lovely three night stay at the hotel (Thursday through to Sunday). The staff were all incredibly helpful and pleasant, from the front of house to the bar. Our room was a really good size, with floor to ceiling windows, and great views of the dock.
The hotel didn't appear to be that busy when we stayed, so there was no problem finding a seat in the bar area. But I would imagine if it was busier the space might be a little on the small side for the potential number of guests.
We didn't try any of the food, so can't vouch for that. But there are well-stocked fridges (including wine and beer) for out of hours purchases.
It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop, and 30 the nearest train station (Muiderpoort), so factor that in to your plans. Javastraat and Javaplein are about a 25 minute walk away, and have lots of bars and restaurants. (Bar Basquiat would be my pick for breakfast and lunch, with Restaurant Wilde Zwijnen if you wanted to treat yourself to a great evening meal).
We would definitely return here.
