"The double rooms are mostly on 4th floor and the stairs are small. It is tough to carry the suitcase. They have only big rooms on the first floor and you have to pay much more. They have only solar water geysers. There is no one at the reception most of the time if you have any concerns. The bathrooms are not tidy and the water gets clogged. The bathrooms are tiny and you should turn off the water in between your bath for the water to drain. Please don’t choose this. "

"There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it."

"A very secluded place...walking through narrow streets at night was scary. Low fee, but the taxi driver that lives there overcharged me for his service. A beautiful island, friendly people, but sad to see so much trash all over the beaches."

"Was really happy with this family run guest house that i stayed in for my last night in Phu Quoc before flying out. Incredibly helpful family members, room was impeccably clean (although towels and sheets although perfectly laundered, both had few wear-n-tear stains). Bathroom was spotless (which made me so happy), and hot water and shower worked perfectly. WiFi worked very well also so managed to get a lot of work done. Location is excellent, 5 min walk to main road with shops , grocery,...
