Very affordable for a nice, clean basic room with no frills. Place has been cleaned up considerably since my last visit a few years prior. You won't get a mint on your pillow or a cute towel-folded animal on your bed, but you can't beat the value for a clean room.

You can't have guests. It's public bathroom not in the room, public shower that wasn't clean. Shady residents. Constant planes flying over the roof and for the most part constant traffic noise. Very noisy. And in my opinion one decent staff member that wasn't rude. It's as close to a prison and warden I want to get. Took the fun right out of being in Alaska.

Sorry you didn't find the experience pleasant.We do extensively outline house rules and that we're located near a small airport in our confirmation and other messages.Everything we do regarding security is to ensure the safety of staff and guests in the hotel. Like many Lower 48 cities, Anchorage has its share of miscreants. Sadly, we have to be on constant alert, even downtown.

Your hotel room has no plumbing! No toilet, no shower, not even a sink. Instead, there are two communal bathrooms on each of three floors, which floors each have fifteen rooms. Two bathrooms for fifteen rooms. If you look at its listing, and drill down to specifics, it mentions "6 bathrooms with showers". Huh? What does that mean? All the other bathrooms have tubs? Nope. Six communal bathrooms for forty-five rooms. This is not what I or you expect for a hotel, and I believe it should be listed as a hostel, not a hotel. It should be removed from your listing, or else made crystal-clear on the main page that there are no rooms with a bathroom. I feel deceived. Caveat emptor!

Wow, you must not have ready any of the messages we sent, including the confirmation message, which practically screams "shared bathrooms", and gives you to opportunity to cancel with a full refund prior to arrival.FYI, hotels with shared bathrooms are actually a thing; I encourage you go Google it.40 rooms total btw.

OK hotell för kort vistelse

Ganska slitet hotell utan luftkonditionering på rummet. Dålig ljudisolering - kvällstrafik plus ett odefinierbart brummande på rummet upplevdes mycket störande. Receptionen ville inte kännas vid brummandet. Gångavstånd till centrum. Om man söker ett budgetalternativ för max en natt kan det fungera...om man är medveten om och kan acceptera standarden.

Thanks for your review, Thomas. What looks like stains is actually the sheets starting to wear thin in places.During the season, the sheets are washed and rewashed hundreds of times. We rotate new sheets into the mix, but there are always a few still out there.

Close to the bus depot and downtown but area too sketchy to walk around with ease.

The room was hot with no AC of any kind. The hallway, the bathroom very cool. Someone forgot to run an AC vent or if there was one it was closed. This room is next to a very busy road so be aware if you are a light sleeper.
