The hotel located in midtown was very accessible from downtown. It was costly (as all hotels in anchorage are in the Summer!)

I've stayed at this property a lot over the last 15 years. It was excellent back then but not anymore - the lighting at the sink was poor, the deadbolt lock did not function, the water flow at the sink in the bathroom was extremely poor, and the overall look of the room showed a lot of wear and tear. Thankfully, the staff were excellent. I'd think twice before staying here.

A lot of homeless around. During the night someone’s car was broken into. They have a sign out regarding they have no responsibility for stoke. Items from cars or broken into cars. They said they had security at night but wondering how they missed the car that was broken into. The breakfast was lacking. No bread for toast. Just basic. Juice machine broken.

The rooms didn’t look like the Expedia pictures. The rugs and couch were stained, bathtub chipped. The lighting was poor. We could hardly see. Thankfully only stayed one night. The price was outrageous for the condition of the property. We paid $524 for one night!! It costs less to stay at a gorgeous, updated 4 or 5 star hotel than this less than 3 star hotel. They really need to update the entire hotel and get rid of all the stained furniture, not just in the rooms but in the lobby as well. I couldn’t wait to leave. I will never stay at another. A Marriott??? Really???

The beds and pillows were comfortable, but unfortunately, there was too much light getting in through the window. In Alaska the should curtains should be the blackout type with the amount of daylight they have.

The good: The property is in a great location with many useful businesses and shopping within walking distance. The food was excellent and well stocked. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked very well (we like our room to have the ability to get cold). When our concerns were communicated to front desk upon leaving they were written down on a maintenance sheet in front of me and I was assured they would be addressed. The not so good: Upon arrival, front desk staff had a very flat affect and didn’t seem welcoming. The hot tub wasn’t nearly hot enough and that is very important to us after a long trip. There was an exposed nail in the threshold to the bathroom that I unfortunately stepped on. There were between 6-8 children ranging in age from 4-16 (best guess) unattended in the pool for the majority of our stay. In summary, the staff needs a little work on their hospitality training, there are some maintenance needs, but the food and the location are excellent and it is a pretty clean facility.
