The hotel served as our base for travels across Madagascar - we stayed there three times in three weeks. The location is great, the staff is accommodating and flexible. The hotel is nicely outfitted.

I wish they would have options to purchase refreshments (water, soft drinks, etc). We were unable to find a shop nearby to purchase these things.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I really liked my room. Tall ceilings and spacious. It had a separate sun room for morning coffee. The entire property has great character.
The only negatives, which were far surpassed by the positives were that the fridge in my room did not work and during the night the power went out a few times. It didn’t really matter since it was at night, but odd.
It was a nice experience and I recommend this hotel to everyone who come to Tana for business or tourism. Nice food at the restaurant and excellent breakfast.
1930-luvun tyyli onnistuneesti toteutettu. Yhden hengen huone koostui erillisestä makuuhuoneesta ja oleskelutilasta. Alue rauhallinen, vain kirkonkellojen sointi kaikui huoneeseen. Aamiainen runsas, katettu ajan henkeä noudattaen lasisille tarjoiluvadeille, ottimet olivat myös antiikkia. Ruokalistalla kansainvälisen keittiön vaihtoehtoja salaatteineen. Henkilökunta erittäin miellyttävä ja palveluhenkinen. Voin suositella lämpimästi!
We spent 2 separate nights at the Le Pavillon de l'Emyrne, and enjoyed each stay. The staff welcomed us, and knew who we were, and that we had booked rooms. They also organised a taxi to the airport on our last night. The local area was full of lovely quirky bars and restaurants and I would recommend it to anyone.
Beautiful and charming old French colonial architecture. Nice staff working there, great food and pleasant time I had. Safe area to walk around and just enjoy the beauty of Antananarivo
I booked this hotel for my son, who was transiting to a service trip to Nosy Be. His flight was delayed by two hours, arrived 1am instead of 11pm. The hotel pick-up was smooth and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Staff members even accompanied my son to nearby shops to purchase SIM card for his phone. The WIFI was free, but signal weak, but most likely caused by the overall telecom infrastructure of the country rather than the hotel itself.
Stayed for three days to explore the city, before heading out to see the rest of the country. An entirely pleasant experience from start to finish. A wonderful old building, very well redone, large, gracious rooms, the food at the restaurant was good but in particular the staff impressed me very much.
Lovely spacious rooms, kind and friendly staff and beautiful courtyards and terraces. A quiet escape from the busy city of Antananarivo. Definitely love to stay again.
