The hotel was in good conditions, "shared" bathrooms were always clean and much better than I could have expected.
The staff was friendly BUT we had a major inconsistency. When I booked a DOUBLE occupancy room, you'd assume I'm entitled to using the double occupancy I paid for. The next morning after our check in, the lady at the front desk explained that since my reservation only had my name in it, they were only expecting 1 person and had only CHARGED for 1 person, so I would have to pay more because it was two of us in a double occupancy room.
A friend, who also booked a double occupancy room, was by himself and they pretended that since they were trying to charge us on a per-person basis, they could skip charging him that way too. When he asked for a refund since he had paid for a double room but was 1 person, they only agreed to give him 8% back which is NOT what they were charging me.
When we asked to talk to a manager or someone higher up, we always got excuses and never were able to speak to anyone. The way they handled this situation was completely unprofessional and I'd advice anyone staying here to ASK clearly what they are being charged for because what happened to us did not make any sense at all. It's disappointing to have a dissatisfactory experience when everything else in the hotel was perfectly fine but we were there for three days and could not get a solution or a higher up to get in contact with us which is terrible customer service on their part.
