First family fun experience in Crete

Our stay at Mythos Palace Resort was delightful. The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive, especially Andreas at the bar and Arystea at guest services. They ensured we were well cared for throughout our visit. The evening entertainment was fantastic, featuring acts like La Divas and Cuba Fun, along with a fun mini disco. Despite some unpredictable morning sun, the resort offered plenty of activities, including a spa, massage services, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Our spacious room included a private pool. The bar and restaurant provided diverse cuisine with themed dinners such as BBQ, seafood, Greek, and Mexican.

All the staff are very friendly. Resort felt very safe and the dining experience was great. We're vegetarians and we never left feeling hungry. Slot has to be booked for the steam room and sauna. Which is great, as you're not then sitting awkwardly with strangers. Loved all the personal touches.

Es war nett aber halt nicht perfekt. Das Essen wurde - grade morgen - schnell langweilig und von unserm Zimmer mit sharing pool haben wir uns mehr versprochen. Die vielen Kleinigkeiten halt, die besser gelöst werden könnten. Die Getränke für die Minibar haben wir uns selber gekauft, trotz allin. Viele Möbel waren abgewohnt oder beschädig. Der Geruch im Zimmer hat mich auch gestört oder die vielen Algen im Pool. Der Service im Hauptrestaurant war schnell und freundlich. An den Bars hingegen mussten wir unsere Getränke selbst holen und teilweise haben wir die benutzen Gläser auch wieder zurückgebracht, da es für die meisten Gäste anscheinend völlig normal war. Tja, den Tipp gab es dann halt nicht... Unsere Reinigungskraft im Zimmer hat sich dafür jeden Euro verdient. Die war wirklich klasse!

Das Service-Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Zimmer-Einrichtubg ist durchdacht, für den Preis wäre es etwas höherwertig wünschenswert (besonders Entertainment-System). Sauberkeit gut. Essen war in Ordnung mit Fokus auf Fleisch und Fisch. Salattheke vorhanden. Um das Hotel herum gibt es fußläufig einen Supermarkt, ansonsten gibt es keinen "richtigen Ort", in den das Hotel eingebettet ist. Großes Pro: Alle Getränke und Speisen sind im all-inclusive-Angebot enthalten, keine versteckten Überraschungen. Zum Hotel gehört ein Pool und ein eigener Strand mit Liegen zur kostenfreien Nutzung.

L'attention est là, mais pourrait faire mieux.

Peu mieux faire. Le personnel est très aimable, et souriant. Restauration : malheureusement, les plats sont très répétitifs. Tout au long de notre séjour, nous avons eu le même choix de desserts, et d'entrée. Les plats étaient très souvent froid, et la cuisson pas toujours maîtrisé. L'offre du petit déjeuné est parfaite, le pain excellent ! Boissons : la carte laisse penser qu'il s'agit d'alcool de marque mais cela n'est ABSOLUMENT pas le cas. Il s'agit d'alcool local. L'hôtel est très propre. La chambre est lavé régulièrement à la javel. Covid : entre bonnes intentions et manquement qu'il faudrait améliorer. Pas de contrôle de désinfection des mains à l'entrée des restaurants. Les clients ne portent pas tous le masque, Mention spéciale pour l'ensemble du personnel qui lui porte le masque toute la journée, et ne le touche pas avec les mains. Ils sont très consciencieux et font très attention. La plage n'est pas très propre, un petit effort serait un apprécié. Nous n'avons pas eu l'opportunité de tester tous les restaurants. Il faut systématiquement aller la réception pour connaître le thème et réservé. Il y a un sweet corner mais il n'ouvre qu'à 18h, ce qui est un peu tard pour manger des sucreries Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet hôtel, il mérite un bon 8/10. Très agréable de trouver des produits Ritual dans la salle de bain On aurait apprécié un petit muret ou une haie pour nous protéger des regards

fabulous week long stay at Mythos Palace!

I had a fantastic week at Mythos Palace. As everyone is now, I was concerned and interested to see how the resort would be adapting to new guidelines. Mythos has done a phenomenal job at adapting the resort to be as safe as possible - temperature checks, hand sanitizer, requiring masks in all the restaurants, and spacing between tables. On top of it, the staff are all wearing masks all the time and they politely enforce when needed. I felt safer at the resort than back at home in my little neighborhood. All the restaurants have a buffet set up and all food is served to you. The food was good - it got a bit repetitive after a few days, but it was good quality with a lot of variety. The key is that if you didn’t want to leave the resort, you didn’t have to which is key in current times! The room was lovely - it is definitely obvious that the resort has been recently renovated as the rooms are in great shape. The balcony was wonderful to have! To finish off, the shining light of the resort is the staff - they were incredible. The reception staff, restaurant waiters and waitresses, spa staff, and all the cleaning ladies - they were just wonderful. Always smiling and helpful - they made my week for me. Great location, room and property were beautiful, private stretch of the beach with loads of loungers. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much effort, housekeepers mop the floors of the rooms every day leaving them feeling fresh. Three restaurants, though the Italian and the BBQ are open alternating days and both ask for reservations. Suggest booking on your first day, though we snuck in as it wasn’t too busy. No exceptions to the all-inclusive apart from alcoholic drinks after 12am. Lovely food, primarily Greek with loads of feta, salad, tzatziki etc, and typically a few meat options, better suited for those who enjoy a buffet as there are no restaurants with table service (apart from for drinks). Dishes are quickly replenished when they run out and everything is fresh. Desserts to die for, loads of tiny individual cakes and baklava, even a chocolate fountain one night! Across the road there’s an arcade of shops and supermarkets, and some bars and restaurants if you fancy a break from the resort or to buy some essentials or souvenirs. Some tourist spots nearby, activities etc., check the bumf they give you on arrival for more details. The spa is small but treatments are wonderful, free 15 min massage on arrival! Only one pool and few loungers likely to be busy during peak, some rooms have small individual pools and loungers, suggest one of those if you want a guaranteed lounger and a dip. Not much in the way of lounger service but there’s always a bar nearby.

Lovely relaxing stay

Really nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and food was good with lots of choice. The best bit was that there was a sandy beach attached to the hotel which was a 2 minute walk from the room. Very happy with our stay and special thanks for the room upgrade as we were only staying a few days.

Great service, but slightly dated

The service was great, we were upgraded upon arrival and they took great care of us. The food is also surprisingly great. However, the facilities and furniture are slightly outdated and could benefit from an upgrade. There were a lot of smokers in the dining and breakfast area, which was a shame, especially as there was no non-smoking area. It would also be appreciated if the hotel could cut down on the use of straws and single use plastics.

Wunderschönes Hotel am Strand

Das Hotel gehört zu den luxuriösesten und schönsten Hotels in der "Hotelreihe" zwischen Georgioupoli und Paralia Kourna. Der Service und das Personal sind unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend, unser Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gründlichst gereinigt und sogar die Kosmetiksachen wurden geordnet und aufgeräumt. Das Essen (wir hatten nur Frühstück) war auch sehr lecker und die Auswahl wirklich reichlich, jedoch ist es Empfehlenswert vor 10 Uhr frühstücken zu gehen. Zwar gibt es von 10 Uhr bis 11 Uhr Continetal Frühstück, aber die Auswahl ist sehr sehr spärlich (nur noch Brot mit Nutella und Kuchen) - vorher gibt es warme Eierspeisen, Obst, Pancakes, Brot/Brötchen/Toast, Joghurt und so weiter.. Auch die Snacks an der Poolbar (z.B. Club Sandwich für 6€) sind sehr köstlich und reichhaltig. Die Hotelbar hat auch sehr humane Preise (Cocktails für 7€), jedoch sollte man keinen allzu hohen Standard für diesen Preis ewarten. Der Poolbereich und der Strand sind sehr gepflegt und sauber, die Liegen am Pool sind allerdings etwas zu wenige und werden von manchen Gästen reserviert. Kostenlos sind nur die Liegen am Pool, die am Strand kosten. Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel - jederzeit wieder!

Confort standard assez décevant dans l'ensemble. Hôtel vieillissant. On est très loin du "palace". Hôtel très bruyant. Nous avions une chambre parmi les plus au calme et il fallait les boules Quiès pour dormir en raison du bruit des animations (notre hôtel et l'hôtel voisin).

Erholung Pur

Erholung pur. Wir durften sogar eine Suite mit Pool haben. Sehr freundliches Personal. Für uns war es etwas zu ruhig, d.h. Nachtleben und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren sozusagen nicht vorhanden. Wir können dieses Hotel jedoch jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

Leider keine 4 Sterne!....

....die Anlage sehr schön und das Personal sehr nett, aber die Zimmer veraltet und sehr schmutzig. Das Bett unbequem, und das Zimmer hellhörig.

The sharing pool rooms on the ground floor were damp , the bed clothes felt wet . We managed to change rooms and got one on the first floor unfortunately it meant we lost the pool but at least we had a better nights sleep. Overall the food was only average , the accomadation was a bit dated on a more positive note the staff were excellent and location on the beach was lovely .
