We stayed 2 nights, and had an awesome time, beautiful views, breakfast was good, spent some time playing board games by the fireplace, Nixon and Richard were very welcoming and helpful . Definitely will stay again

Secluded cabin style rooms with beautiful views just minutes from Filandia. The rooms had a safe, private bathroom with hot water. The breakfast was also very good. Will definitely come back

The staff was great! Attentive people and a delicious breakfast. It's a very peaceful place with lovely views. The only problem is the entrance to the property. If you travel in a small car (compact/sedan), you must drive carefully.

The room was clean. Beautiful view! There’s no AC but the receptionist said we wouldn’t need it at night and he was right. Breakfast was DELICIOUS! I traveled with family including two 1 year olds and would book again. The only complaint we had was the entrance to the hotel has a huge hole with no warning for oncoming cars.

Great hotel

The hotel is in a beautiful place, with an amazing view to the valley. Nixon and Angela are very nice and helpful. I thought that going from hotel to Finlandia would be difficult with 2 kids, but actually it was fine. Nixon shared a contact that drove us to and from for 15000 cop. There was a little problem with the bathroom but Nixon fixed it very fast. All in all it was a great experience. It will stay in our memories.

AMAZING VIEW

I loved this hotel, the view WAS simply AMAZING. It is located in a farm which adds to the experience. The dining area and fire place area had amazing views as well. There is an outdoor Jacuzzi but they charge for it so I didn't use it. Breakfast was basic and internet speed at times was slow. Nixon was amazing and was able to communicate in English a bit and when he was short of words he was using the translation app. What sold it for me was the view. People hike for hours to see that view and you can see it from your room.

Wow. What a lovely surprise and amazing little spot on the rim of the adorable town of Filandia. Sierra Morena was a last minute decision we made after a cancelled flight and we soon realized we wished we’d stayed our entire time in the Cocora Valley area. Nixon - the GM - welcomed us with a warm smile offers of coffee and drinks. He gave us a tour of the property and shared stories of the surrounding farm land. The views are breathtaking. Nixon’s brother Richard, the assistant GM, was a great help with getting us settled in our room and for anything we needed. He helped with our breakfast the following day as well. The brothers are classy and caring. They arranged a jeep - or as the locals call them “Willys” - to take us to town, although we realized it’s a short 10 minute walk to the main square. We stayed in the “Panoramic Quad” room and its vistas are everything you see in the pictures. The weathered charm of the whole place makes you feel nostalgic, and the care being placed on its enhancements by owner Monica (she’s amazing) to be modern yet retro make this the only place you should stay in Filandia. Oh, and I can’t forget the house mascot Fondella. (Or maybe Pandella). The sweetest kitten ever. Highly recommend.

The eco-hotel is strategically located with ousting views and away from the town’s crowd and noise. The staff is friendly and diligent specially Nixon the front desk and Monica the owner. Definitely a place to recommend.

It was beyond what I expected. The building was good and cozy. However, the cherry on the cake was the spectacular scenery around the property. It is what gives the most value to the experience of staying at Sierra Morena. Additionally, the genuine kindness of Nixon and the ladies who work there was exceptional.

Situé sur les abords de Filandia, quelques chambres 'rurales' avec vue sur toute la vallée et le village de Salento au loin. On se sent un peu au bout du monde alors qu'on est à peine à la lisière de Filandia (accessible à pied) Personnel souriant et aux petits soins Petit déjeuner soigné servi dans la salle commune Parking sur place (préférable d'être motorisé pour y aller)

A experiência no Sierra Morena Eco-Hotel foi simplesmente excelente. O hotel oferece um ambiente tranquilo, bem cuidado e em total harmonia com a natureza.
