"Great stay. Petty Harbour room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved the private bathroom with shower and Native brand shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was a definite highlight during which the owner Rob offered recommendations and advice on the local sites, stories, and jokes a plenty. Fantastic location. Would absolutely stay again."

"My room was prefect over looking the harbour with a clear view of the harbour entrance and signal hill. Staff was very friendly and very helpful suppers were excellent with a wide variety to choose from on the menu. A good location very walkable to all downtown attractions including George street."

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. I wasn’t expecting a kitchen in the room, but it proved to be very convenient. The only thing that I was disappointed in, was there wasn’t a charging station for my EV Hybrid vehicle."

"Nice large room with a very comfy bed. Close to downtown, so we could walk almost everywhere. It's quite an old building, so you need to accept the stairs and thin walls."

"A character home with very no actual character beyond the first impression when entering the main doors. We stayed in the Bell Island Suite, which in no way felt like a suite. It felt more like a dated cottage or camp cabin. The room was tired and poorly maintained, with no consistent style or attention to detail. Issues included missing drawer knobs, mismatched hardware, peeling paint on the shower ceiling, cracked bathroom floor tiles, poor ventilation causing slippery floors, worn furniture,...

"The staff helped us with directions to find a couple of places in St. John's until we figured out our Map program. They also helped smooth over an issue that was no fault of theirs but they facilitated a positive transition and solution when my travel partner found out her flight reservation was from St.John, N.B. and not St. John's, Nfld. The breakfasts were dynamic and a great start to the day. The room was very clean and perfect for us - the view was less than ideal as I think we looked out...

"Parking for handicap people has only 2 spots. Need all the front of the building. Extra parking around the ack but not paved.The toilet in the room should be secured to the floor. The room’s windows, on the outside, were covered with bird poop. Only had a one night stay this occasion and the staff were very polite and stated they they would make the repairs as reported. Great staff."
