"Be warned anyone with mobility issues: THERE IS NO ELEVATOR.
We checked into our 2nd floor room in the afternoon. Check in was fine, front desk staff gave very helpful suggestions about getting around town and the parking situation in downtown.
I laid down to take a nap while my husband went out to explore a bit. I was shocked that the door blew wide open and would not latch. We called down and they sent someone up to show us a "trick".
We were told the wood in our section of rooms...
"We got our room and found it had a strong odor of cigarettes which this motel said was smoke free. I contacted the hotel receptionist and he gave us another room which turned out fine. One the exit doors would allow you to leave but you couldn’t use your room card to get back in. The breakfast was average. Eggs to wet. Otherwise the bed was good and the room was clean and comfortable. Would I recommend this Comfort Inn to anyone? NO"
"The Timbers Inn and Suites was perfect for our one night stay in Ashland. Our room had a small kitchenette, but was stocked with everything we needed. The room was small but for a one night stay it didn't matter. The staff was friendly. The room was clean (without counting a few cobwebs and a spider). Reasonably priced and close to downtown, it was a solid deal."
